I am not sure what the correct term is for this wonderful new tool. I have those little containers that you use to fill your Iron but how many times have I spilled. Then one day I grabbed my unused oil thingy and walla a perfect way to fill your iron and not spill a drop!!! Hope this helps others!!

What a great idea!

It's pretty too! I use a red plastic ketchup container that comes in a set with a yellow one for mustard. It works pretty good but looks ugly.

Great Idea! I simply use an Arrowhead water bottle.

What a cute idea, and decorative too.

I put dish soap in mine... but be sure it is red soap, cuz if someone thinks it's olive oil, you have a problem Houston!

I use an older honey bear bottle; the new ones don't have a spount any more, just a flip lid.

I saw a suggestion somewhere to use a non dairy creamer bottle b/c it has a cute little spout on it. It works great! I'm using a little one-waiting for my DH to use up a large one. Cute story gows with this-MyDH came into my sewing room for something and he picks up the creamer bottle and demanded-What's this doing up here? kinda angry like. I sad it has water in it silly for my iron-why else would it be in here for? it's not like I'm sneaking it! he got a sheepish look on his face and just said OH.

At a retreat this fall a lady was filling her iron from a water bottle with the pull up top for drinking. She just pulled up the top and turned it over and filled her iron. I couldn't believe I had not thought of this as I always have water bottles around.

I use an empty liquid coffee creamer container to fill my iron. Just wash it well before using for water. It works great. I got the hint on this site I believe.

I use an old dish soap bottle. It also works great!!

judikay 12-14-2010 10:56 AM

I found a coffee creamer plastic bottle (32oz size) is great also. Has a nice lid that snaps and I've not had any spills. Thanks for the other hints as well.

Cute idea

I just keep a measuring cup of water by my iron. Because it has a spout lip, it pours great and I don't have to buy something special. i don't find filling my iron to be too challenging :-))

cdobbert40 12-14-2010 11:33 AM

I use a 12oz diet pepsi plastic bottle. I have to replace it every so often as Sparta (kitten) likes to use them as toys and will bat it off the shelf onto the floor so he can chase it.

This is what I use too. I have to big Creamora brand bottle and it works so well you would think that is what it was made for.

It also keeps the dust and lint out of the water.
