Yes I have a set of those FM quilting discs which I bought about 6 years ago. They were distributed by a different company (Quilt Sew Easy Discs by Heavenly Notions) but look like the same thing. The blue foam is really dense and grips the fabric well allowing the quilter to smooth out any wrinkles and flatten the fabric for quilting thus preventing wrinkles and puckers. I like them as you don't have to wear gloves and they have been helpful to me.

I would swear there was a post about these earlier this week but I can't find it through search, and can't remember what any of the comments were. There is a short video on youtube, though. My thinking is, why couldn't you use those inexpensive furniture mover discs instead??

I cut my own disks from the rubberized shelf lining that is kind of "waffley". I get it at the Dollar Store. It works pretty well for fmq. I like it better than wearing gloves, which I find hot and aggrevating whenever I need to handle the thread for any reason.
