Get this, ladies and gents, I put ALL FIVE blades into the rotary cutter, because I didn't realize there was more than one in the package!!!

So next time you feel absolutely ridiculous about something - just think about me, and you won't feel so bad!! :D

Well I must admit that just last year I replaced the blade in my rotary cutter, started using it and I kept having these narrow strings coming out the back. I was so mad that a brand new cutter was faulty so started to change it only to discover there were 2 stuck together. Now I know to carefully slide them apart so as not to cut myself and only get ONE. You're new at it, I have been sewing for "a hundred years" :roll: :lol:

How funny. I thought I was the only one that did things like that.

How funny. I haven't tried that trick -- yet. I'm always doing something crazy, but at my age I hear that's allowed.
The best thing you can do when you do something like that is laugh at yourself.

You just brought a chuckle to my heart! I did the SAME thing, but with two blades. I kept getting a single string each time I cut my fabric and couldn't, for the life of me, figure what the problem was. Finally, I went to tighten the blade and noticed I'd put in two instead of one. How wonderful it is to hear that somebody else has done this.

Been there, done that ... lol But only had two blades in the cutter.

You guys are the best! When we can get together and laugh at ourselves as a whole is just great!

OK, I have to admit I have done that, but I only put 2 blades in, not 5. I cut several pieces of fabric and wondered why they were so ragged on the edges, but I didn't really stop and think about it. When I did, I disassembled the cutter to see if I had done something wrong and the problem was obvious. Lesson learned - I don't think I'll do that again.
