Guess what I was gifted!
 

99 yards of fabric! My Mom went through her stash when she moved and gifted me her fabric that she no longer wanted. There were a few 1/2 yard pieces, but mainly yardage. Also, my aunt is also going through her stash and when she comes to TN to visit, she too will be giving me her unwanted fabric. YAHOO!!! I am finally getting a real stash.

I can't think of a more perfect gift for a quilter. I'm very happy for you and I hope you find lots of free patterns that speak to you and work perfectly with your new stash!! A friend recently gifted me about 20 yards or so and I too am in heaven. Most of mine is vintage calico's which made it even more exciting...for me. Have hours and hours of fun!!

I'm planning lots of quilts and other items to make gifts for kids and grands.

Whoa.. Awesome.. I stopped off at mom's, and all got was salmon to make for dinner.. Wish my mom had a clue about sewing.. On the other hand.. My sister is in the interior design business.. and never told me she was able to get fabric samples.. Hopefully, my box from her should be arriving soon..
