I went to an auction and got 6 big boxes of fabric. Probably over 100 pounds and only paid $12 for them. I'm having fun now going thru all of it. I'll post a pic once I get done fingering them all. Some of them are scraps and some of them are a yard or more. I guess that now I need to think about making a scrap quilt.

When I was looking at my Nolting before I bought it, the lady I bought it from was moving. We hit it off immediately and she gave me 3 big boxes of fabric. I was in my glory, snooping through it when I got home.

have yall ever done anything like this? I had to take a break from working with quilts to try my hand at this. It's a design from "Hatchedinafrica.com" I did it on the back of a light weight black denim jacket. the picture doesn't do it justice at all as there are tiny little crystals glued various places. I've made 3 of them and also the pink blouse with a different bird on it. check out hatchedinafrica.com.

I was considering doing this myself, but wonder is it worthwhile and do you make your money back on the fabrics you buy to do this? Has anyone out there done it already and what was your view about it?
