It is difficult for me to respond kindly and for that, I apologize. NO ####### WAY! This is a person who is clueless and so whether you decide to take it as an affront, is entirely up to you. I would not accept it her offer or would gloss over her question without answering her question. It could be that she is taking advantage of your gift.

1again, I apologize for my less than positive comment.

Even $200 couldn't possibly be considered greedy. Keep it or gift it to a friend, family member, or favorite charity (and, if the latter, take the $200+ tax deduction ;->). BTW, lovely quilt.

NO WAY!! Looks like a keeper to me. Fabrics are so pretty.

No!! I said that way before I read the other comments. Your time is worth more than $20.00 alone. Heed to the others comments. How rude to even state such a cheap amount.

zozee 01-22-2019 02:52 PM

20 bucks? What an insult! My mouth dropped open when I read that. Maybe she is thinking of as a yard sale find? I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt as to why she would even consider offering such a pathetic amount.

Hopefully it's just ignorance. About 5 years ago my dad gave my mom $5 to spend in a fabric store. He still thinks prices are what they were back in the 70's.

Lol, Peckish! God bless his heart, he's in a utopian world of his own. That $5 doesn't even buy her the gas to get there and back. (What would he think/do/say if she gave him $5 to spend on his hobby, I wonder?)

SusieQOH 01-23-2019 04:11 AM

Peckish, that's hilarious! Dad obviously hasn't been to any store in awhile.

Peckish 01-23-2019 11:44 AM

Dad was notoriously cheap.

When my mom started going through menopause, he would get upset because she'd leave the bed and go sleep on the couch with an open window. He said her hot flashes were all in her head. Then he was diagnosed with cancer and the chemo gave him hot flashes. Lo and behold, a window unit air conditioner appeared in the bedroom. What a jerk. I was mad for her, but she was just thankful for the AC.

He really sounds like a pistol. God bless your mom for keeping him, lol.
