I saw this a few weeks ago and now can't find them. The are material gathered to go around a ponytail or braids . I think this is what they were called. Anyone remember

I think they are called "scrunchies"
I don't remember seeing them here on the board but someone else surely must have!

I don't remember them here. They are tubes of fabric with elastic inside them.

Yes, some people use them to put around their bobbins to keep thread from rolling off.

I used to make them years ago. you can use any soft material, and you nead about 8-10 times the lenght you want, sew them into a tube turn them right side up add the elastic and stitch the ends together, you want a fairly strong hat elastic,

It's so much fun to make home made ones. You get to choose the fabric.

The ones that work the best for bobbins come from the dollar store. They are tiny (too small for hair except maybe a tiny child's) and the work very well for keeping bobbin threads from tangling in my thread box. You get well over 100 for a dollar.

No this is not what I want. Its made of material and gathered to go around the hair. Maybe I'll just make up my own. I think I can do it. Thanks for the help

Scrunchies, cut a rectangle of fabric about 3" X 10" and make a tube out of it. Run a pc of elastic 4-6" long through the tube and sew the ends together, then pull the two ends of the tube together and stich that around with a blind hem. Kids use them in their hair, I do too. Fun and easy to make. You can embelish them any way you want to.

Do they by any chance have combs set into each end? Is that what you are talking about?
