I have a favorite that is quick and simple and really cute, especially for a baby quilt. You don't even need a pattern because you can figure it out on paper. Its a 4 patch with large squares and then a heart, which is divided into quarters, sewn together and appliqued on top. What makes it look so cute is that the 4 patch is made with 4 different fabrics and then the heart is made with 4 different fabrics and then appliqued on top. I made two baby quilts (for twins) and a wall hanging in pastels and they were beautiful! I also like appliqueing a Winding Way quilt. I made one in purple and am working on one in burgundy and tan.

Linda, Actually, any applique at this point. The one I am working on now is a flower, but I am willing to try anything. I was hoping to make up different squares and incorporate them into a quilt for my bed. Would you mind sharing some that you have? I would appreciate it a lot!

I will post a picture of the one I am working on now, that is if I can figure out how to download pictures!
