You will be fine after your knee,it's good exercise for the knee to bend!!! Work it out!! Mine is great!!! Good luck!

I am left handed and use my right foot to sew, just like driving a car

I use the button rather than the foot. Thought I was too much of a control freak to do it...but have found that I love it!

Just an aside - it's remarkable how much your cat looks like mine!!! Size-wise, coloring, hughe fluffy tail & all!

Good for your dad!!!

I'm a right hander but use my left foot. I was told by a quilt teacher that it was better for my back, sure was. Now it's just natural instinct. I've been doing it for about 7 years now.
It did feel strange at first but now I don't even notice.

In the last 8-10 years I decided to use my left foot so I could use the knee control that came with my Bernina--at first was a bit awkward but now is my preference, altho I can use either one.

I am ambidextrous and I use both feet and/or both hands!!!

I am right handed and use both feet at the same time! Using both seems to keep the pedal in one place and doesn't slide around.

Worked with 4-H kids for 25 years and found 2 left footed kids that simply could not use their right foot to sew.Everyone else used their right foot. I thread the machine with either hand however although I am right handed and use my right foot.
