I am right-handed and right-footed but did use my left after knee and then hip replacement. Not too bad once you get the hang of it!

I right handed and use my right foot. I tend to think of the sewing machine pedal as the gas pedal on a car.

I am left handed and use my right foot, also like driving a car.

I'm right handed, but when I took a class to learn to use my Bernina years ago, I learned to use the left foot on the pedal and the right knee for the pressed foot lift. I've been doing that ever since.

When you think of it, both right and left handed people use the same foot on the accelerator in a car. :D

me too! left handed, right foot, started on knee control

Right handed, right footed, no shoe

I had my right knee replaced three years ago and I used the

knee pedal?? I am right handed and can not use my left foot.

I put a lot of padding around my knee and it didn't bother,

Had to take a break every now and then though.

Left handed and right footed, because you use your right foot driving the car!
I have had to adjust with knee replacements on both knees (at different times) and then a revision on the right.
But back to the right foot!

Having my right knee replaced did not interfere with my using my right foot on the sewing machine pedal. My rehab required me to either be standing up walking or lying down for the first month after surgery--preferably up walking. The protocol has changed some, but you still will not be encouraged to sit with you knee bent for a good little while.
After the rehab, you can go back to doing what you were doing, except maybe riding your bicycle on the street or roller skating! froggyintexas

OK Suzie!!! did we have the same dad!!??? I had the same situation....I was in Catholic grade school, and my Dad was left handed also.... when he found out the Nun cracked the ruler across my knuckles, he was right up there in front of Mother Superior... and never again did that nun try to make me use my right hand...
Today, I find myself able to do many things with my right hand but do use my right foot on the pedal and rotary cut with my left...
