I'm looking for a hand piecing project that I saw in a quilt mag and now can't find. It was sometime in the last 2 years, it was a scrap quilt with several rows. I think the pic showed with it was outside with the quilter holding the quilt. I know you guys think I'm crazy trying to find this, but now that I'm ready to start it I can't find it. Thanks so much for any help!

Welcome to the board!

Dont suppose you could narrow it down at all, like which magazines you might have read?

I'm in the UK, but subscribe to the Quilter from the US, and buy occasional BP&Q and PP over here. I'll have a flick through some of those for you. Cant claim to know where all my backissues are - I have a bad filing system - but I'll let you know if I find anything.

If you want hand piecing, Fons & Porter have a tablecloth featuring English paper piecing for a grandmother's flower garden that is beautiful. It is in their July/August 2008 issue.

I know this is going to sound crazy but I'll try to remember all I can from pic. It was scrappy, her's looked like full size, it was demonstrating hand piecing and talked about how this was a great take along project because you just grabbed a couple and pieced them together. The project ended up in rows. In the pic, I think it was hanging half over a chair or something outside on a sunny day. I think the pieces were square or half square triangles. I'm not sure why I'm stuck on this pattern but you know how it is. I'm sure there are thousands more like it out there but for some reason this one I remember. Thanks everyone for your help!

Have you tried google for English paper piecing. English paper piecing is GREAT for a take along project and many companies sell the papers in several shapes and sizes. Good luck !
