Hand quilting design help!

Hi, I'm coming to y'all for design help...
I found this following blog when I was researching big stitch hand quilting with perle cotton. I love the colors from that quilt. http://www.rebeccamaedesigns.com/hom...hand-quilting/

I recently finished a top and plan to hand quilt with perle. I am attaching photos to see.

But I need help. I have tried drawing out the blocks on paper, tracing my finger over a picture of 4 blocks together, going over the designs in my mind...

I've contemplated a straight line, 1/4" from the seams on the white triangles.
Or on the white triangles: making a curved line from each point around the triangle (instead of straight).
But those just seam too boring....! I have a variety of perle colors, so I can do whatever. I'm just too close to the project to be decisive on it.
Thanks for any help!

I'm thinking some design in the center, then straight lines on either side of the large diagonal seams. Not sure how to describe it, but I see four big Vs pointing to that center. Inside the big Vs I could see doing additional lines or doing some kind of flower/vine type design.

If I knew how to draw on top of your picture, I could show what I mean instead of trying to explain it in words!

With all of the straight lines, I would think something going all over with lots of curves. This just cries for stippling. Maybe you could draw some on parchment paper and lay it over the quilt.

No suggestions but love your top!

I agree with Boston about curves. That's a really pretty top!
I love to hand quilt and want to try big stitch. I love the look of it.

Sorry, I can't help with quilting suggestions.

It's beautiful! Big stitch quilting will be lovely on this.

I agree that following the Vs would be a good idea. I would simply SITD along the HST dividing line and along a line that diagonally bisects each square. You could have fun with curves in the border, where there are no seams to cross.

I agree the STID to follow the Vs would be a good start and then maybe fill in with different designs between the STID. If you have some clear template sheets or a clear vinyl you could lay on quilt and use a dry erase marker to preview different ideas for fill.

Hi all, Thanks for all the replies. As well as the complements!
When I posted this here, I also sent an email to the blogger I referenced in the link I put. She was awesome enough to reply and figured out how to draw on my pictures. Now, she has an app on her phone, but I have Paint on my pc! So I drew out her entire idea, as well as what I was thinking of doing as curves. My drawing isn't too awesome, but you should get the idea... I think some of you may have been thinking along the same lines as her, since you saw the V!
As far as the idea of stippling, I think that would be much easier if I was going to machine quilt this, but I'll be doing it by hand with perle cotton.
Let me know what you think of the ideas!
Danielle

WOW!!! that is so gorgeous!! You could do anything on it: diagonals both ways, straight vertical/horizontal, outlining each large color patch, etc.
