I have alway wondered what size of needle would be thin, large hole and medium in length. I have very crippled up hands so I need the length to be able to keep hold of it, and who doesn't need a hole big enough to see.
Got any ideas.

You don't say what you are going to be using the needles for -- applique, quilting, sewing on bindings.

For applique, try a milliner's needle, though it may be a little longer than you are looking for. They are also called straw needles. Same needle, but different prices.

For applique and for quilting, I like the John James Big Eye quilting needles for easy threading, though they may not be long enough for you.

I was trying to had sew letters on demin fabric for my GD yesterday. Nothing seem to work, at least for me. I have never heard of John James Big Eye quilting needles. I like to use thin needles. I guess I just haven't found one that I am comfortable with. I do all kinds of hand sewing, even crazy quilt trim from Demin. My hands are getting bad and just had a shoulder replaced, but I am bound and determind to keep on hand sewing. I really like to do that more than using a sewing machine.

I like the John James big eye quilting needles because I can thread them. The holes on regular quilting betweens is just too small for the thicker hand quilting thread to go through. Maybe it would be easier if you use a double-pointed needle, especially since you're trying to sew through denim.

I know how hard it is to keep on keeping on sometimes. I had carpal tunnel syndrome in both my hands and couldn't crochet more than a minute at a time before the pain became unbearable, then had to rest my hand for several minutes. I hope you find a needle that works for you.
