I almost bought a set of these from ebay, so glad a nice lady directed me here, thank-you

Handi Handles modification

Hello everyone. I've recently purchased a Handi Handles set that would not work with my sewing machine. Sadly it did not have wire connector that fit my machine either. I tried 'rigging' the wiring as a previous person posted but that didn't work either because the flow of electricity was different from my pedal than from the speed control on the Handi Handles (this only gave me off or full speed on my sewing machine). I did have success a different way though. If you (or someone you know) is handy, what I did is take a handle bars and a brake cable from a bicycle and connect it to a small wooden 'box', via the bicycle hand brake, that now holds my foot pedal. The bike handle bars are only zip tied to the Handi Handles (so no damage done). Now holding the handle bars, as I squeeze the brake handle, the brake cable squeezes the lid of the box down on my foot pedal. The harder I squeeze the brake that faster my sewing machine sews.
