I have a HQ Sixteen and like it. My goal this year is to get good at it, I've only done a couple quilts because I took a sewing break last spring/summer (gardening, you know?) The HQ Sixteen is good for now, but would like to trade up in a few years.

my frame is called HandiQuilter II. Are asking about a quilt frame?

dgmoby 01-27-2011 07:02 PM

I think this must be one of the very, very old first original frames that came out that you put your regular sewing machines on. (It's not the HQ16's, Avante's, frames and mid-arms, long-arms, etc. These are a whole separate ballgame.) If so, then it works as designed. There is a Yahoo Group for these users specifically who can give you working tips & tricks and help you make it work well for you.

You're right dgmoby. Its a frame and system that adapts your regular machine to quilt similar to the long arms. I saw one on ebay and was really intrigued by it.

I made some extensions for mine and it now wil fit up to a king size quilt. I love. It's great.
