Anyone know anything about it and what it retails for?

You can order an informational CD on it. I don't know if it includes prices. I have one....took awhile to get here- haven't been thru all of it yet.

I have one, but I bought it used. Check out their website, I think they have prices on there.

I have a friend who has one and it is a great machine. She's had it for about 4 years and loves it.

visit the HQ web site. you can order a free dvd- i've had mine for almost 7 years now- so i'm sure my info is way out of date...i know there have been some great upgrades in the past few years.
i can tell you they have been around for quite a long time- their customer service is great-
they are based in Utah-
when i first set up my machine i had a terrible time with tension issues---they talked me through the problem over the phone- are very helpful- knowledgable- and nice to work with...i've never been disappointed.
different set-ups cost different amounts- you should visit their site.

I have the HQ Sweet Sixteen sit down. And I love it. Here is the link to HQs web site the machines are listed with prices: http://www.handiquilter.com/category...-and-packages/

I have the HQ Avante' also and love it. It has a very small learning curve. It was one of the best choices I ever made. Would do it again in a minute.

I also have the HQ Avante - love it - I am not an expert by any means - but its nice to have my own setup at home.

I have a Sweet 16 sitdown that I really like. It is an update of the Handiquilter 16, adding some more electronic controls. Are you looking for a frame system or a sitdown model? I chose the sitdown because of room and because of the way I like to touch the fabric while I'm quilting. The huge throat is wonderful! If you go with the HQ table, you'll need to add some work surfaces to the sde to hold the bulk of a big quilt. I just use another sewing table, but you can be "wings" from HQ too. The basic system I have goes for $5000 plus or minus, depending on what extras you get.
