Hanging bag/pincushion thingy
Does anyone know the name of that little scrap bag that hangs from a pincushion on edge of sewing table with rubbery stuff on bottom? I made myself one from a kit and want to make one for a friend. Can't find my pattern and don't know how to search for a tute. Thank you!

I would call it a 'Theadcatcher'. Something like this?

YES! Thank you. But I can't buy the pattern. Mine's a liitle different, but close. Guess I should just measure the one I made and figure it out.

Krista, I like that one even better! Gail, don't fuss to find it, thank you so much. I'm going to make up my own, I think, using ideas from all of these.

I made one after seeing someone with one at a sewing class. I just winged it, but am happy with the result.
I used decorative sand, bought at Michael's for the pin cushion weight. I used the lid of a large yogourt container for the base of the pin cushion. To keep the thread catcher bag open I used the upper rim of the yogourt container. I do not have to worry about it collapsing. |
The abbey bag is the one with the flower
