Hanging Circular Quilt
How do I hang a 60 inch circular wall hanging? It's a Judy Neimeyer Christmas tree pattern.
Thank you, Lois |
I think I've seen some kind of circular frames advertised at keepsake Quilting.

A hula hoop?

my first thought was to use a fiberglass pole like they use in modern small tents

I've never tried this, but at least it can give you their opinion. |
Depending on size, perhaps a quilting hoop stitched into a round sleeve on the back? If it's too large for that, perhaps try a pet supply store in the fish tank department for tubing for the pumps in fish tanks? Maybe even a home improvement store for similar tubing for drip irrigation? Or an automotive store for some similar tubing? Make a sleeve the perimeter of the quilt and slide a flexible tube inside the sleeve?

A friend of mine used foam board cut in a half circle , and she sewed a sleeve that was also a half circle. She put the foam in the sleeve and she then used thread to give it something to hang on the wall. Hth.

Thank you, ladies!
Thank you for all the great suggestions. Gong to ask DH if hardware store has some kind of connector for tubing similar to that used in Keepsake Quiling's device. If not, will make a sleeve as described in the link. Thanks so much for your help!

At lowes or Home depot you can find pex or similar brand tubing in the plumbing department while its more rigid most of their connectors would work with the softer tubing found in the hardware dept.
