I shared this with my 2 Bichons. Neither were overly interested. But I felt that human quilters would. I had posted the pictures of the two baby quilts that I had made for two young women that were expecting at the same time. Normally I do receive a thank you note from someone who has received a gift from me, but this one was a first and I had to share it.
I received a thank you card in the mail from the young woman who received the little Teddy the Popcorn Bear for her son. Enclosed was a picture of him laying on the quilt. This was a first for me and one I will cherish. I just felt this was just a delightful thing to share with those of you who take the time to continue to encourage many of us to be more receptive to showing our work and enjoying it. Plus always being close by with helpful pointers, thoughts and on many occasion, tutorials, etc. So from me to you, thank you, bluestarmom |
That was nice of the woman to say thank you in such a heart felt way.

That's a great Thank You note !! :)

That makes it even more special  Those are the moments we work for

A simple thank you means so much! And to add a pic of the baby is wonderful and encouraging to do more! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for sharing this with all of us. I am so glad for you that someone went beyond just a "thank you". I'm sure that will be a picture you will cherish always.
YAY, you!! Glenda |
At work, I made a blanket for a coworkers baby and then a blanket (one of the fleece tie ones for his son - who is older) ... and have pictures hanging in my cube of the baby using the blanket and his son snuggled in the tie ones (using the fleece).
I think this is the most awesome way someone can show appreciate for something you've done! |
That was a sweet reward!

That was really a nice way for her to say Thank you.

I think it was so thoughtful first, for you to make it for her baby and second, for her to include a picture of baby enjoying the quilt! What a great story, thanks for sahring it with us! (and your doggies!)
