Thanks to all of you who responded to my query about this purchase! I am soooo in love!!!!

I'd been drooling over this machine for at least a year, and now it's finally in my hot little hands...thanks to you guys giving me that little push that I needed to make the purchase. I picked it up last night after work, and spent the evening reading the instruction manual. Tonight I'm gonna be brave and plug it in!

You read the manual, WOW. I don't read it only if I need to solve a problem. hahaha (Just kidding) :)

ManiacQuilter2 05-07-2015 08:42 AM

Congratulation. Remember to be sure to plug it into a power strip or any plug that will protect your baby from any surge in power.

That is one beautiful machine!!! I love Babylock. Have had four of them and the Imagine serger.
You will love it. Oooops, I forgot, you already do!!!

Nanax4 05-07-2015 10:47 AM

My brothers are coming tomorrow for my birthday, and to admire the new sewing machine. I told them that the first one to show the new machine how to do the dishes gets an extra piece of cake with a candle hole in it (a piece with a candle hole in it brings you good luck!).

Congratulations! By the look of your smile on your face I think you are a very happy camper. So happy for you and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Nothing more exciting than getting a new machine!! Can't wait to see what you create with it :)

JustAbitCrazy 05-07-2015 04:36 PM

How wonderful! And look at your beautiful smile! Enjoy it and make some quilts for those 4 grand kids. I'm a nanna times 4, too. :) Is that the machine with the laser line to follow for your seam? I think that's pretty awesome.

Cybrarian 05-07-2015 04:56 PM

Welcome to the Babylock family! I love, love, love my Unity and her little sister Elizabeth!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Love your family tradition! In mine, my four brothers and I would try to avoid getting a piece of the birthday cake that had one of the toothpicks my mother had put in to keep the layers from shifting. If you got a toothpick, you had to do the dishes!

Anyway, I'm so glad you got the machine you truly wanted. Many of us sacrifice to do for others again and again...it's time to do for US once in a while!

Quilter 65 05-09-2015 06:35 AM

Wow, congratulations. You DO look happy. Good for you!

Rennie 05-09-2015 06:40 AM

Good advice for all of us with these machines. If I know a storm is coming, I am so paranoid (because of how much they cost) that I go around and actually unplug my machine and my laptop from the surge protector! I guess I don't even trust the surge protectors. I can afford a new tv if a storm gets it - but not a new laptop or definitely not a new embroidery or sewing machine! (grin).

I was actually thinking the same thing! Such self-control, to read the manual FIRST!
