I purchased a lot of these and just used them for the first time and I,m having a terrible time.
They are shredding the fabric, not sharp at all. Am I doing something wrong? I have always used Olfa or Dritz.. I can't believe these would cut carpet. Has anyone else ever had a problem? Thanks. |
Make sure that you don't have 2 blades in your cutter.
I use these blades and have not had any problems. |
I had alot of problems with mine, finaly threw them out. Good thing I didn't buy alot. I think there were some batches of them that must have been bad.

No, I do not have two together.
I am very disappointed. I bought too many to have this happen. I will try another package and see how that goes. |
i've never had success with them.
you can try sharpening them if you have a sharpener. |
Try a different one - I found that a couple of mine weren't really sharp but then the next one would be just fine.

I purchased many pkgs and have only had trouble with a few.
Most of the time they work and cut nicely. Considering how cheap a two pack is, I'll throw a few away here and there. Sorry this has happened to you. I hope it's just the one pkg. |
I bought four pkgs and the first blade I used was terrible. So I put a second one in, an that is working fine. Don't know how the rest of them will be but like luvstitches said they are so cheap it doesn't hurt to throw one or two away.

I would try a different blade , I have had to toss a couple.

I tried cutting carpet with them over the weekend and they made a mess. One direction (with the grain, muat have been) was fine and the other direction was horrible. I wondered if it was the handle (the first Olfa to come out about 20-25 years ago) but now I'm betting it was the blade, though it did fine with fabric......
