Someone gave me one as a Christmas gift and I use it as a travel pincushion: the stuffing makes it tough to insert pins. But, it's cute.

Boston1954 02-10-2010 06:49 AM

Wow! I have never seen one of those. A very reasonable price too. It looks interesting. Hope someone has the answer for you.

nativetexan 02-10-2010 07:35 AM

not me either ,but it is one thing that would just take practice.
you could use it to quilt as you go. a row of blocks that fit the width of that. good luck and have fun.

Oklahoma Suzie 02-10-2010 01:00 PM

never used it, but looks good.

beachlady 02-10-2010 01:58 PM

That really looks neat. I hope some one has used one and can let us know all about it. Looks interesting.

The width seems rather small to me... I think a 24"r would be more useful for quilting table runners & place mats... jmho

Were you talking about her Avatar picture? She was talking about the item in the link, which is a quilting frame. :?

I had to read your post twice to figure out what you were talking about!! Oh well.....most of us are in the same boat....usually half a step off!! :-) :-)

It looks like a smaller version of John Flynn's quilting frame...perfect size for QAYG

That is what I got from the link, too. I got one at a yard sale, but not sure how to make it fit , or if I assembled it right, since it did not have instructions.

Looks like a smaller version of the John Flynn frame, which I have. it's a lot of set uo for the small amount of workspace you have. You have to roll the 3 layers, and secure them, and then you really only have about 3 inches of workspace (the one rolled edge takes up some space in your working area). I have stopped using it becasue I think it's much easier to just free motion without the frame.

Jingle 02-11-2010 07:19 AM

I couldn't use it, baby quilts and not many of those is the smallest I make.

I use to have one of John Flyn's quilting thing like that and I did notlike it , I sold it, and bought material, but the lady that bought it loves it,

vicki reno 02-11-2010 09:26 AM

I have the big Joh Flynn frame and the first time I tried it was a disaster. I should have practiced more before attempting it on something good. But never let it be said, I was the sharpest tack!

vjengels 02-11-2010 11:27 AM

I haven't used this before, but, it's very similar to a 'John Flynn' system looks like it would work pretty well left to right, but somewhat limited back & forth, based on the photo; WAY too small for my needs. You might want to try it... send it back if it doesn't suit your needs.

NovisQuilter 02-11-2010 11:37 AM

I have one. I got on the clearance table. Never used it but I saw a little girl on youtube using it and for machine quilting and having a great time. Only problem, I didn't save the sight and now I can't find it.

zz-pd 02-11-2010 05:48 PM

I looked at that in alot of nice things but cant aford any of it but I to would like to know if it works.

hawaiilove 02-12-2010 06:10 PM

This looks similar to the one John Flynn has designed but his is quite pricey - check out his website, www.flynnquilts.com

It might be worth getting with one of those 50% off coupons just to play with
