Has anyone been to this store?

I am going to be in Nashville, TN and I saw this store is in Nashville. Has anyone been there?
I am wondering how much quilting "stuff" they have or if it is geared more towards clothing.

Don't know about that one, but you will be driving very near to Whittles on the way... exit 38 off of I-65 near Bowling Green KY.
Well worth the stop!

Contact them and ask.

Do they have an online presence on the internet with a website or Facebook??

I read the Yelp reviews and someone said "not JUST quilting fabric". I assume this means lots of quilting fabric. They are apparently not a discount house. Whittles would be the place to go if you want great deals.

Thank you for the Whittles tip - I will check them out for sure :)

Something to know about Whittles - Check the website for days open, I think they are closed on Thursdays? And there was something unusual about payment accepted - checks but no credit cards IIRC?

I was just in that area last week! I should have done some research. I would loved to have stopped.

I also loved going to Sirs Fabrics in Fayetteville, TN. Although it has been a few years since I have been there.

I have not been to the shop since it moved to Berry Hill. It is not a quilt shop per se. It carries high end fabric (silks, wool, fake-fur, linen blends, cottons, cotton-blends) for garment making as well as fabric that *can be used* for quilting. It also has a variety of decorative notions lace, trim, buttons, bridal tiaras etc and unique garment patterns.

Prices may be high for quilters. (There have been times when I've seen the same fabric in other quilt shops in the Nashville area for $2-$4 less /yard.) There is a remnants room where you can find some yardage and remainders. I've found some nice pieces for my quilt stash. Get on its mailing list for sale notifications. They offer deep discounts on the remnants twice a year.

By the way, there is a shop called the Children's Corner on Thompson Lane that is participating in the Row By Row. It's fairly close to The Textile Shop.

I lived in Nashville for 33 years. That store is nothing special. What I would recommend is Stitchers Garden (209 S Royal Oaks Blvd, Franklin, TN 37064) in Franklin, TN which is a lovely historic small town to stroll around in, as well. The store used to be in downtown Franklin, and now it out a ways, but it is worth a visit, I think. It's a really disorganized store containing more fabric per square inch than one would think possible. All quilting fabric. The lady who owns it knows where absolutely everything is, so if you're looking for something, there's a good bet it's there--she'll just need to find it for you.

Thanks I will make a note of that shop!
