I was in my local Wal Mart Fabric department (and we don't have a problem with it being staffed) when I saw this machine. I am going to try it because my DH "forced" me to buy it. It is called a Rotary Cutting Machine by Simplicity. It has a pinking blade and a regular straight blade. It says it cuts by pressure not sharpness. It is supposed to cut cotton, fleece, felt, paper, duck cloth. It is supposed to cut any fabric. If you have ever used one, let me know what you think. You can dial the width from 3/8" to 2 3/4". If it works, it would be nice for doing jelly rolls.

I just noticed that I took the picture of the "French" side of the box. OH WELL, our ladies in France will enjoy that.

These machines are a neat concept, but I still prefer cutting myself, its part of the process. I am one of those weird quilters who even enjoys hand basting, its very theraputic to me.

I do not have this machine, but do own the bobbin winder and binding machine which I love! I agree this would be great for making jelly rolls...also for sashing strips, borders and I think it would make log cabin quilts a breeze! Lucky you! Have fun Twinkie and let us know how you like it!

I had one and never could get it to cut a perfect strip so I took It back. Good luck on yours.

I have one but it's impossible for me to get an accurate cut strip for quilting. It's great for cutting strips for rag crochet, wrapped clothesline for bowls, rag rugs and other craft projects. There is two machines, one is the bias binding maker. I have that one too and I use it all the time. It works great. Odd you haven't seen or read about these machines, they have been available for several years now.
