Necchi,,, good machines...
|
I had a Necchi as my first machine a number of years ago and found you can't "kill" them. The only reason Igave it up was because it was a "plain jane" and not many features. If it is made of metal pick it up fast before someone else does! Hope you enjoy it.

You have two very good machines there. Necchi happened to make the Fleetwood machines. I have a Fleetwood that is 57 yrs old and still sews great. I went into Goodwill today and found three machines, two Kenmore in cabinets and a Necchi in a large furniture type cabinet, maple color, with three large drawers. It had most of the accessories and book. I got the salesperson to come down from $35.00 to $26.00. I will get it tomorrow, can't wait. I've been checking the internet today trying to find out what year the Necchi was made, but with no success.
So, from my experience, I would say go for it . They are both good machines. Lucy |
Jo, thought you would like to know that Necchi happened to make the Fleetwood.

[quote=mary beth]Tell me about the Necchi Esperia -- would that be at a Salvation army in Louisiana?[/quote
Yes in Lake Charles, La. I bought both machine and they run great!!!!!!! |
That was my first sewing maching 32 years ago. My husband bought it for me as a surprise. Inexpensive, but good little machine. I was pleased with it.

I have a Necchi that I have had for 40 yrs or more. It still sews like a dream, the machine and parts are all metal. I still use it to sew heavy item like slip covers. It does much better on these than any of my new machines. I would buy another one in a minute.
