Has anyone ever taken a quilt frame intended for hand quilting and modified it to be used with a machine? My DH has decided he can do it, so yesterday we bought a used quilt frame. Now we're in the planning stages of developing the carriage for the machine. Any suggestions out there?

Hmmm, not sure just how he'll do that, but I think there is a Youtube vid on how to make one. Maybe he'll just repurpose the materials?

It's possable , but be sure everything is square and level or else your machine carrage wont work right. it's very important that you r machine can move in a strait line both east and west ,north and south. good luck

for small quilts i have used a emb.hoop that fits under the presser foot it is about 10 or 12 inch round it works pretty good,i have used it 3 x . Dotie Bug
