I have never heard of such a thing but now you have my curiosity up so will follow this thread to find out the answer.

If you go into the search box, you will probably find out what you need to know. There was a fairly long thread on this not too long ago.

My next door neighbor is a hand quilter and showed me how to use one. I went out and bought one, but haven't done much hand quilting. She's a whiz with it.

There is a definite learning curve to using an Aunt Becky... I bought one, tried it, expected "instant" results ... and put it aside for about a year. Then I watched a video with Jean Brown http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVXSGob_lKo
It will take a bit of work but overall your quilting will get better and you won't be making hamburger out of your fingers. Really good information.. give it a try

Still no clue what it is. Guess I'll have to check out you tube

I just bought the Aunt Becky and the Barnett's hoop and the special thimble a few months ago. I did one piece and was happy with the results for being my first attempt. It was MUCH easier on my hands and wrists than the usual methods for doing hand quilting - the rocking motion. There was absolutely no pain in my hands or wrists after I was done.
