This die must be relatively new because a couple of years ago it was only for the Studio cutter and I asked about one for the GO Big and they told me they didn't have one for that and gave me an outrageous price to make one for me, so I sold my Go Big cutter.
Figures.

if you have EQ8 you can find that block in the library.
you can print the templates.

when i want to print templates for more than one block i print them on sheets of sticker paper.
stick them to a piece of flannel or to moleskin.
that makes them stay put when you position them for cutting.

it's good to know there are Go! and Studio dies, but they are pretty expensive.
that would be a lot of extra money [for me and my limited budget] to spend on just one quilt.

Yes, a guild I belong to did it as a fundraiser. It was not a block that I really liked to do, just because our pattern didn't seem to have specific start and stop points for the curved parts, so I always felt I was just guessing the seam line. It turned out nicely, though. Members used their own choice of fabrics and then we hand quilted it.

I bought the Cleopatra's Fan for the Go when it first came out and had new die pricing and I got a nice discount from the quilt shop that had a demo/tutorial about Accuquilt products. And I won a $25 gift card to the shop in a door prize. So the die didn't cost me enough to think about. It sure has gone up in price since then.

I haven't seen that pattern before...lovely. I'd give it a try with printed templates. It would take awhile and you'd need some serious patience, but it would be a good learning experience.

Here is the info and a video to show you piecing steps.

LQS are conducting events on-line that you can watch. There is usually a nice discount offered on orders for that day.

Sometimes, it's on my bucket list, sometimes it's not, LOL.

I do love that design, art deco for sure but there's such a beautiful elegance to it when you use light/pastels. If I do decide to finally do it, I'll be using Shar Jorgenson's techniques and templates, she's such an amazing quilter!

Using templates was a tedious mess to cut. I don't think my passion was strong enough. I would cut one block a time if doing if cutting from templates. I did learn that much from making a few blocks.

I also have the Cleopatra's Fan die for my Accquilt and have made a couple of blocks to check it out. The die is marked but since many pieces are similar once you pick them off the die, I suggest you somehow label so you know which is which! I goes together so well with their directions on how to press, etc. You can really change up the look depending on the fabric colors used.

On another block with templates, I had someone do laser cut acrylic templates so I could cut without slicing and dicing--it also had curved edges and I knew it had to go together exactly to work--well worth my $$

I have EQ8 and couldn't find it. What's it called?

I *did* find a free downloadable project file from Inklingo for EQ7.
