Has anyone made this pattern?

I am in the process of making the pattern surprisingly red by Jacqueline de Jonge and was wondering if anyone here has made this one. I am curious how other's look with different color arrangements. It would be nice if you could post pictures.

Dolphyngyrl 01-10-2012 05:32 PM

Shame on you for now adding another pattern I just have to have LOL

lfstamper 01-10-2012 05:35 PM

Just googled it - very beautiful....looks like Judy Nymeyer. Would love to see pics.

Donna H-M 01-10-2012 07:00 PM

It looks surprisingly difficult!! LOL

I have completed the inner/outer borders and it wasn't hard at all. If you are comfortable with paper piecing and sewing curves, you won't have a problem.

Jackie Spencer 01-11-2012 04:53 AM

All I can say is WOW!

ArtsyOne 01-11-2012 05:06 AM

I'm with Jackie - WOW! Good for you!

damaquilts 01-11-2012 05:48 AM

Really pretty. No I am NOT adding it to my list, It will just stress me out. lol
I think it would be beautiful in any color as long as the values are kept.

fmhall2 01-11-2012 10:33 AM

I love it, but I don't think I would want to make it.

crafterrn1 01-11-2012 10:55 AM

A wonderful pattern and a great challenge! Luann

sylvia77 01-11-2012 05:53 PM

So, judging by the response, no one on this board has made this pattern? Man!

vivsqt 01-12-2012 06:03 AM

Heres one in golds and browns.

pls1946 01-12-2012 06:08 AM

Wow! Not going to be on my to-do list even if it is truly beautiful!

lynndianne 01-12-2012 06:10 AM

Wow, that's completely beyond my ability.

Lynn

PumpkinSundae 01-12-2012 06:23 AM

I don't think I could ever make this pretty one!

Kath12 01-12-2012 07:00 AM

I like paper piecing but this pattern looks like a bit more challenge than I'm willing to work on yet. It's beautiful though - would look great in blues or purples

luci4 01-12-2012 07:48 AM

Very nice, but not something I would make.

star619 01-12-2012 07:58 AM

Glorious, but not for me - strictly from a an intensity point of view. It would certainly be an heirloom, though!

rwquilts 01-12-2012 08:06 AM

I haven't made this pattern, but it's certainly beautiful! Paper piecing isn't as difficult as it looks...I do prefer to work on smaller patterns though. Good luck with your project! Would love to see pictures!

Charleen DiSante 01-12-2012 08:21 AM

It does look difficult and yummy.

sewmary 01-12-2012 08:22 AM

Oh how fun! Wish I had the time to do it. I love it in the browns. Please show us how you are progressing.

BarbaraSue 01-12-2012 10:15 AM

Sorry but I didn't see golds and browns but another red. What am I missing?
Anyway, I won't be doing that pattern anytime soon. You can be the first and show us what to do.

IOOPs! I didn't know to enlarge to get the other color. It is beautiful in the golds and browns. I can imagine greens would also be stunning. But I'm dreaming.

trolleystation 01-12-2012 10:39 AM

Too challenging for this 'old girl'.

onaemtnest 01-12-2012 12:07 PM

Absolutely gorgeous but far, far beyond my capabilities!

fireworkslover 01-12-2012 12:48 PM

I would think this would be wonderful in any color, as long as it contrasted nicely with the background print.

Scakes 01-12-2012 01:19 PM

Beautiful quilt! No, I've never made one but I sure would like to have it. LOL. I'd love to see it in turquoise.

RachelJames 01-12-2012 02:16 PM

Oh My...now I just love that quilt...hmmm..been looking for a new project. :-)

judylg 01-12-2012 03:29 PM

My goodness, it is lovely, but looks so difficult.

rosiewell 01-12-2012 04:35 PM

Donna in Mo 01-12-2012 04:38 PM

Very interesting! Too much for me!

QandE2010 01-12-2012 04:43 PM

Wow, it would be gorgeous made up. Be sure to share your progress.

earlori7 01-14-2012 06:46 AM

Wow. I am too new to attempt something like that, but it is beautiful.

Nantie 01-14-2012 07:04 AM

a beautiful pattern but i am already struggling with a judy neimeyer pattern, why am i having such a mindblock about paper piecing....old age i guess.. i have put the pattern in time out before chrismas, hopefully i will drag it out and see if the new year made me any smarter.

hawk 01-14-2012 10:04 PM

OMD!!! (We quit saying the G and changed the expression to Oh My Dog when my grandson turned 3) (for obvious reasons!) What a beautiful quilt. You are so brave!

kjohnson 01-14-2012 10:18 PM

It does look like a Judy Neimeyer quilt.
