As of this week, not only your name is printed on the Jo-Ann on-line coupon, but the coupon is valid only at your local store.
Disappointed I can't use on-line coupons at their other locations anymore. |
I was able to use it in a different city. Hmmmm
I have not tried using it at another Joanns.. hoping that is not the case, as sometimes one might have something that another does not have in stock...
I wonder if regestering at different joanns would work?
can you still use them on line? i had not noticed that there was a stipulation...i was kind of thinking about visiting one that is 100 miles away; maybe i won't bother.

I hope you can use them anywhere. I'm midway between 2 Joann's (one in PA the other in Ohio) and shop both. Does anyone know for sure where they can or can't be used?
Hmm-registering at both stores may be the answer if they can't be used except where listed on coupon. If this is true, this is another example of a company shooting themselves in the foot. |
I am pouting because I didn't even get one. Wah. I will have to look next time they send me mine. I have three JoAnns nearby, so I would hope I could use them at any of the three.
Hmmm - I moved two months ago and also I called in my addy change, I haven't seen a new mailer yet - both I miss those % off coupons. They are reason enough to find something I need :D

Hmmmm, I have printed mine out while at our son's in Rochester, NY and they worked fine (will live in PA).
That stinks. I don't get joann's emails. I've signed up and checked my spam filter and they just don't send them so I usually just search online for a printable. Looks like I won't be able to do that anymore. Guess it'll save me some $$ in the long run.
So if you don't have ID you can't use the coupon? I don't think any JoAnns store would be that far out of left field to ask for ID for a coupon and not make a sale. Some JoAnns store managers have the power thing going on and would near bout bust to be able to do just that.
I have noticed that too. I also can't print out any of the printable coupons anymore. I don't know why that is.
try this one

Same here. Was in Joanns a couple days ago with a 50% off coupon.Looked around & left without spending a dime. I'm thinking I don't need anymore gadgets or fabric. Can't believe it...no fabric? LOL
I still get the mailer without a name or location on it, but when I see those 50% off coupons, I try to find something that's not on sale. Getting harder all the time. Yesterday, I walked out of the store. Everything was on sale at some percentage less than 50% off. :XD:[/quote] |
My neighbor saves her coupons for me,and no problems at all. i also have a PO box and i get coupons/flyers there too..
my DD is a teacher..was save them all for her. i do know that you need them to scan the name/address bar code occasionally, to keep the flyers coming to you house. we have 2 joanns in our area, and i use coupons in both. not sure about out of state.. |
I tested this by sending my husband into a store with my coupon in a different city. No problem at all. I think it is more of a marketing strategy to follow our purchasing habits. They are not going to turn you away from a purchase. They just want to gather marketing research on us!
I hadn't noticed that....will need to check Thanks for the info
I just checked my new one and it has my name on it but can be used at any store. I take my Co. coupons and use them in Az.
I don't think it's a big deal at all. Nor do I think it would prevent you from using it anywhere - they wouldn't limit themselves that way...it wouldn't be a good business strategy as someone else said.
I wouldn't worry about it in the least. I don't think it's a problem at all. Debbie in Austin |

Joanns pretty much has a monopoly where I live so they can get away with anything! It is getting more and more difficult to be a crafter/sewer as the Big Corps have caught on that they can make money from us. |
