As you probably gathered from my recent topic about how I build my stash, I constantly scour the local charity shops for suitable garments made of 100% good weight cotton.
I keep finding LOTS of beautiful linen, lovely and soft but I have steered away from it, as I am unsure if I can use it? So has anyone actually used linen in combination with cotton, or totally all in linen.....let me know what y'all think please? :D |
I don't see why it couldn't be used but all the linen I've seen needed to be pressed after washing. That wouldn't work for a quilt.

Maybe make something small and see how it works and washes up.

I don't think it would wear as well as the 100% cottons.
It would wear out before the rest of your fabrics would. A lot of work goes into a quilt, so I would like to see my quilts last. The reason to use good quality 100% cotton fabrics. |
