Has anyone used the Octi-Hoops?

Just came back from the Phoenix Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival and watched a demonstration for Octi-Hoops Free Motion Hoops. Has anyone ever used them and do they work as shown at the festival?

I bought something similar in a horseshoe-type shape (two sizes) and tried one of them for probably only a few seconds before I put it away and went back to gloves. I should give it another try. Probably just needs practice. I liked the horseshoe shape better because I don't have to get it under the presser foot.

I kind of make a circle with my hands and Machingers when I FMQ. I think a tool to do that would just get in my way.

I purchased some to use after a hand operation so I could only use right hand. They did the job then . But you have to go slow and watch that you don' t keep hitting the sides. Back to gloves.
