Has anyone used one of these? or something similar?

Have any of you used this type of thing for binding? It looks tempting, but I can't find a video that shows how to do the corners....

The link didn't work for me.

the second link works.

those gadgets are not useful for most quilts.
it might work if you are using flannel for batting, or the lowest loft cotton batting on the market.
with normal batting, the sandwich will not pass smoothly through the gadget.

guess who spent $$$ and tried ... lol

Another problem with this foot is that it is a single layer on the outside edge. That is where the most wear and tear on a quilt is. If you are doing an art piece it might be useful, but I wouldn't use it for a quilt that is going to be used and washed a lot.

I have used that binding tool & like it, but as PatriceJ said they aren't good for quilts - maybe ok with very thin batting though I haven't tried . Here are some cornering videos that make it 'look' simple.

I agree that this would not be good for a regular quilt, however, do you think it would work for rounded potholders? Just a thought. Since I have that particular type of foot that comes with the Featherweight, and cannot think of another way that it would be useful for me, I was wondering if anyone else has used it for something useful.

I have this for my Husqvarna, it’s not good for quilting, I use it for dressmaking and it’s wonderful.
