They have many uses. Great for play area in kids rooms, which is probably their intended use. Have seen them used as cushioning for floors of booths at craft shows. Also works well at the base of steps to the car when there is no sidewalk and there is mud. Can also be used with T pins for blocking knitting, etc.

They are cutting mats that you can carry places and then put them together to use. They aren't the foam ones for the floor.
