there is a closet, a wardrobe, another shelving unit and some bolts in a hall closet....

I so need to spend less time on the computer and more time in the sewing room!

I think you are right. You can send any of that my way that you just want to get rid of. lol

I think I see some of the same fabrics in both photos.... Yup, you need to sew more, girlfriend!

How do you do any sewing?

Deborah12687 02-03-2011 08:49 AM

When my Mom past away I ended up with her fabric and I was so over whelmed by how much she had. She lived in a trailer house and boxes were stacked to the sealing every where and just a path like a maze. I wanted to keep all of the fabric as then I had space for it in the garage. We ended up having to move to an apartment when my husband changed jobs and I sold and donated most of my fabric. I did keep 8 totes and since then have added a lot more to my stash. My hubby wants me to sew up what I have and give up the quilting and I told him that will be a cold day in#@!*!!! As long as I can keep things organized he shouldn't complain.

yeah. it assumes a life of its own. kinda like wire hangers, and rabbits. leave 'em alone in the dark, unattended, for even a little while, and you suddenly have four times as many as you had before.

hubby just looks at it all, shakes his head, and says, "it's a disease, isn't it..." but he doesn't count the piles of fabric, and i don't count his bicycles and guitars. (not out loud, anyways...)

it does look like home, to me. and i hope to go to my grave, someday, with unfinished projects, and too much to do, and more designs in the notebook. i never want to lose sight of the potential in things around me. i say, "keep up the good work!!"

(just doing my part to support the textile industry...)

I like to sew AWAY from that room! I have place I go on Wed to sew for a charity, I go to a friends house on Sunday afternoons(she is elderly and alone, so I help her clean, cook for the week and then we sew), and I go on retreats!

I can sit in there and sew though!

hardly deary, this is only a corner of a small 10' sq bedroom..NOT an entire house, garage and 6 storage buildings!

For those that think this warrants Hoarding, you have obviously never seen a REAL hoarders home! I have, as I also sideline as an estate sale helper! This would make a real hoarder laugh aloud!

As I said this is only a corner of room!

You probably have enough stash for all of us. Got any plans on visiting Florida any time soon? I'll be happy to take some off your hands. That should help a little. LOL
