I hate doing something stupid but I did it. Did not measure correctly when piecing my backing and didn't find out it was short until I was 3/4 done pin basting it. ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

I hate doing stupid stuff, too. But that doesn't seem to stop me from doing stupid stuff...

I like using a large strip of fabric from the front....than I sew the strip and the backing fabric into a tube...cut...and the strip is in the middle or off to the side...good luck!!

Just add fabric to the middle of your quilt back , they will think you planned it that way! I have done this and it works Great!!
