I bought a total of five patterns from this company and they are awesome. But, that is not why I am writing this post. Where this company won me over is the wording of their copyright which obviously protects the pattern rights but also gives people permition to make the goods for profit (craft shows, charities, online store) but not for mass production. How neat is that??? They are a rarity in this world. Kudos to the Whistlepig Creek Productions, they will always have my business. And no, we are not related :)

That is nice to see - I haven't purchased some patterns because of the way their copyright reads - makes them sound like the warden in a jail. I don't make items to sell but don't want to be treated like a criminal!

Thank you for the heads-up. They will get my business too! Whistlepig's seems to have the right and reasonable attitude.

I think so many of us realize ( from doing a lot of research) that it doesn't matter what they say about who you can or cant make it for. You can't copy and sell their patterns, but you can do whatever you want with the stuff you make.

I am not a lawyer, so I do not know if what you say is correct. Regardless, I like the attitude of one small business helping another, one artist helping another. There is too much greed in this world, so this is quite a refreshing attitude towards patterns.
