I have read too many stories here about loosing a tip of a finger while using a rotary cutter.

Just wondering ...... Has anyone still cut themselves , or run into your finger with a rotary cutter while you had a klutz glove on? Did it prevent you from getting cut? Or make is less serious than it would have been if you did not have the glove on?

I now have a klutz glove and try to remember to use it EVERY time I pick up my rotary cutter. But I have always wondered if they REALLY work, or if they just make you more mindful and more aware of what you are doing and how you are cutting>

Has the klutz glove really saved anyone's finger?.

Aren't the Klutz gloves like a Kevlar glove? I use them when I carve. They honestly do prevent slicing - you could test it by attempting to cut through it. Don't think, however, that it totally protects you because you could still jab/stab yourself through the weaving with a sharp point scissors, etc. (Believe me, with my carving, I've demonstrated that point quite dramatically!)

I never heard of them. Interesting.

Fons and Porter used them while they were using a rotary cutter.

I don't think they would stop a cut like Kevlar would -- maybe ?just stop you before you did too much damage. They just look like dotted/pebbled gloves to me.

never tried them, but probably should since i've cut my fingers with the darn rotary blade, or maybe for just being stupid on where i put my fingers, and the glove won't teach me that.
