Eyelashes are from moving your hands too fast in curves....so either SPEED UP YOUR MACHINE or slow down your hands on curves. When you move your hands faster than your machine, it pulls hthe thread before the machind can move the needle down into the quilt, It happens to a lot of us......sorry you have to take out stitches.

Lady Diana is right.

I read a blog post saying if you have eyelashes on the back around the curves but your straight lines are ok, then it isn't your tension. If it is your tension then all your stitches would be loopy or incorrect.

Oh yes; has happened. I don't know what kind of machine you have, but on my Janome I use the blue dot bobbin case and it really helps with my fmq'ing.

Ha, ha! I am confessing. I did a whole lap quilt before realizing my eyelash problem on the curves. I decided to not take it out and redo and kept the quilt for myself. I have loved it on my couch, and enjoyed the heck out of it. MY BAD!?!
