... using your smartphone?

People do *lots* of things with their phones these days (besides placing calls)...

Just wonderin'...

I've seen someone do this once for a project... I'd be concerned about color tonal match JMO

I don't have smart phone yet. But if I did, I am such a fabraholic, that I probably would. We got both DD's an android phone for Christmas and I am amazed at what all can be done with a phone.

No, don't have a smart phone, mine is pretty dumb!

Another way to get into trouble! :)

Nope , when I shop for fabric be it "online" or in a LQS , I do not want to feel rushed. There is something about doing it via my phone , that would make me feel like I needed to hurry up.
I do enough "stuff" via my phone ... it would take some of the fun/pleasure out of it.

Yes. I've bought fabric, books, and clothes using my phone. I have an Android.

Someone asked me yesterday if I had an I-phone. He wanted to introduce me to a special ap. I told him that I truly had an "eye" phone because I could only ever look at it. The few times I needed to use it, the darn thing had a dead battery.

Yes and that is why I forget I purchased some of my fabric its always a surprise when I go to the mailbox :)

Yep, I do it all on my iPhone. It's all I have. Menfolk have wrecked two laptops.

I just got my first smartphone for Christmas and really have not learned to take advantage of all that it can do.

But...

Isn't it hard to surf regular websites with such a small screen? I know some sites are set up to work well with mobile devices but I wouldn't think that most fabric stores are set up that way.

Then again, I am basically clueless about this stuff - and my family members would be quick to agree!

I have. My DH is a computer programmer and makes apps for Android.

I've the original Droid, getting upgraded soon. For me, I don't think the screen is too small, just hit the + button and I'm zoomed in.

I don't think I have found the + button on mine yet!

I should just ask my son. He's 16 and knows, if not EVERYTHING, a lot... at least about modern technology.

if you tap on the screen when you're on a website on your phone, a grey oval should appear in the bottom right corner of the screen. there's a + and to the right of that theres a -. Tap the + and it zooms. Least, that's the way it works with my Droid.
