I just love Sharon Schamber's technique of using Elmer's School Glue to prepare binding - here is the You Tube link that describes it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PE0Yq9iGlc

My improvement: I use the Elmer's School Glue STICK!! I just run the stick along the inside edge of the folded back binding strip and heat press. The strips will hold until I get around to sewing along the fold line!!

I'd love you hear how you improved a tip or technique - either from a friend, class or internet!!

Ah, good one. I've been using her method recently and I haven't yet bought a very, very thin nozzle. I used a one but not as thin as hers. It was getting a little messy. I will give the glue stick a try. Thanks.

I use the stick glues too, but sometimes use the liquid glues, or whatever is handy at the time. The glue sticks dry out quickly though.

I use the sticks - 3 for $1 from the Dollar Tree. Usually I only need to do the corners, so those three should last a while.

If you keep your surplus glue sticks in the freezer, they will last longer.
