I saw the Pintastic on TV the other day. I almost laughed out loud. Is it just me or does anyone else feel this way about it. It seems as if the mfgr. thinks we are too lazy to pick up our own pins. I can't see the advantage of this unless someone has some kind of handicap maybe and this makes it easier for them to recover pins? It is also a very bulky notion that I really don't want to make room for.
I am not chastising anyone for using it. If you find it to be an advantage for you, by all means , enjoy it. This is just my feeling. What's yours?

Is this the spinning drum (similar in shape to a concrete truck) that you drop the pins into and then it neatly lines them up and gives them to you 1 at a time? If so, then I saw it at Hancock Fabrics awhile back. I thought it was one of the silliest things on the market.

It looks like a snail.

I know a dress designer who has several in her workroom. She says it's the best thing to keep her pins under control. She uses hundreds of pins. She said it's not a new idea at all but now available for home use. I think it's marketed more for dressmakers/bridal/alterations type sewers.

I agree! I even told my DH I would shoot him if he brought that think into our house. (Jokingly) He wanted to know if it could sort some of his nails that got dumped and the sizes are all together now! I am sure it doesn't.

I agree - when we say it in Joanns the other day my boys wanted to know if I was putting it on my Christmas Wish List - I laughed and told them no way - I don't need that silly thing!

It won't be that useful for quilters unless you use hundreds of pins at a time. The one I saw a the dress designers worked perfectly and no pin tangles or jams at all.

Wouldn't spend my money on it
