Have You Tried Dream Green Batting?
 

I am an avid recycler and like to use products with recycled materials when possible. I recently saw a package of batting called Dream Green made from recycled plastic bottles. From the package it looks pretty nice but wondered if anyone has tried it? If so, what do you think? I am making some charity quilts for teenagers and am thinking about it.

Please be sure to post if you try it, plastic bottles, hum I must say I am quite confused how batting could be
processed ??

My LQS has been featuring it and everyone who has tried it loves it. It is cheaper too!

all the quilters dream products are nice

I used the legacy (pellon brand). It was a bit thin, but OK overall.

I like the Dream Green a lot. It has a nice drape to it and it is warmer than 100% cotton batting. And it is also substantially cheaper. Highly recommended. I wish more quilt shops carried it around here.

I've started using it in the last two weeks (instead of Hobbs polyester) now I finally found some in the UK. I *love* it. It's super soft, no hard wrinkles and bobbles that I find impossible to get out as I did with the Hobbs. It's really soft and smooth and quilts beautifully. Also washes really well and I love that you can quilt 12 inches apart!

Now if only I could find a UK stockist to buy it by the roll!

I have used many Dream Green battings. It is nice to work with and the first one I made with it was 10 years ago and that quilt is still my granddaughters favorite travel quilt-has been through many washes, has held up well-all have... It is my go to batting for kids quilts that will be used a lot... Picnic,play,forts,travel, sleepovers, takes a beating and lasts. I first found it while working in a local quilt shop back in 2002. Great stuff
