Having issues finding thread?
So yesterday I get online to order some aurifil thread and I can't I looked several different places and couldn't find any. I went to connecting threads to look at some and a lot of it is sold out, the only thread I could find was Superior Threads. I'm sure your wondering why I didn't just go to my local quilt shop they aren't selling white aurifil thread right know and my daughter has been sick so I haven't had the chance to look any where else. Any help with be great full.

Is it the only thread you want to use? There are quite a few compatible threads to aurifil.
When I googled, red rock threads seems to have assorted aurifil options. Not sure about the price but go check their website. |
Hawthorne Threads stocks all the Aurifil colors in all the weights.

I really prefer to sew with aurifil. There is very little lint. I get mine from http://www.discountembroiderysupplies.com
They have free shipping |
http://redrockthreads.com/ is another site where you can order Aurifil. They have a flat rate shipping fee.

Many times you can find decent prices on Aurifil thru Craftsy. Looks like some are sold out, but you can sign up to be notified when back in stock.

There are many wonderful threads out there, why limit yourself to just one brand. I use gutterman, superior, and connecting threads. I have even used coats and clarks before with no problem. I have different brands and just piece with whatever's handy.

I saw some Aurifil thread at 50 percent off at Craftsy on Facebook:

I talked with Connecting Threads customer service in February as it seemed they were out of the Cone Thread for a such a long time. What I was told was that the Long Shore man's strike had containers on the dock with thread and until the strike was settled a lot of their thread would remain back ordered.
I think that I heard that the strike is finally settled. Connecting threads now estimates according to the website 4-22 for the threads to be back in stock. So perhaps that explanation is why so many companies are out of thread? Just a thought. |

Thank you for sharing that information, I was wondering what the deal was because I understand being out a little bit but when I saw the 4-22 I didn't know why it was going to be so long before I could buy them.

Pumpkin Vine Corner carries Aurifil thread and has a great selection, and I've been very happy with the service.
