I usually have trouble trying to figure out how I'm going to quilt a block (since there are sew many to choose from). I just saw this in an e-mail of allpeoplequilt.com and thought it helpful for future reference since I'm relatively new to doing anything other than SID.
Hope it helps.

This is a wonderful book. I had quilters block for months and was in a real funk. So decided I would start going through all my old books and magazines, the other night when I could not sleep.

I could kick myself, forgot I had this book, it is wonderful. And it is not about using the designs in the book it makes your brain work again and you will come up with such great ideas on your own. Now I am finally getting both of my quilts marked to quilt. I have hundreds of books and this is one of the best. I can't believe I forgot it was in my library.

You will love it. It really gets those creative juices going and at my age I need all the help I can get. LOL. I hope you enjoy it.

I have the quilt cad from the grace company that you use on the computer to see what the quilting will look like. Then you print out the papers to use to follow the design on my table.
There are lots of books out there to help you too. My favorite is, machine quilting solutions.

That link was excellant. It looks just like the way I do most of my handquilting. I do work for other people and I don't always know the quality of their piecing or applique. It never hurts to echo at least the original seam lines. It will help to keep the seams from coming apart in the future. It also flattens the seam allowances.

Thanks

You're certainly welcome. I know there are so many different choices that sometimes (especially since I'm a beginner) it's best to limit the choices and see that they look great all the same. Once I'm more adventurous, well the imagination is limitless. :)
