Has anyone used headliner fabric, like they use in cars inside roof? for quilting projects? I purchased some in Mexico and thought I could use it for placemats, but now I am unsure. It was a deal anyways, so will try it. :?: Any suggestions would be appreciated, you folks are all so handy and knowledgeable. Cher

I think I would pre-wash it and use it in a small project and see how it works up.

Eleanor Burns has a tutorial on her site showing how to make a design board using headliner fabric. Really super!

I don't think you can wash it. Unless it's something different from what I'm thinking of. Isn't kind of spongy? I could be wrong (been there a lot of times! LOL)

I have a design board of the headliner fabric, there is nothing better for this in my opinion. Blocks "stick" to it without pins and do not fall off over time.

is it washable? that would be my deciding factor... don't want placemats that can't be tossed into the wash after a meal...but if it's washable seems like it might hold up well
