Hearts and Apron Strings quilt, anyone made this one?
I'm gathering 1930s fabrics to start this quilt and plan to start cutting Monday. I've never done applique before and I thought this would be a great start since there is only a little bit of applique and the rest is piecing. This is a quilt made by Sharon Schamber and was featured in the April through October 2004 issues of Quilting Newsletter magazine. I've had all 6 issues of this magazine for 14 years with the plan to make this quilt and finally decided to start it.
Here's a picture of this quilt someone else made https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...ml#post5546645 |

I really love 30’s quilts and that one is exceptional. Please show us yours. I want to be inspired to use some of my 30’s fabrics!

That will be a beautiful quilt and thanks for sharing a picture of someone else's quilt so I can get a visual. I love the repo 30's fabrics so I am exceptionally partial to those quilts made up in this fabric. Enjoy your sewing journey and please share progress pics.

Yes, I'll certainly share my photo when I'm done. The applique is something I've never done and so is the curved binding. Also new is the dresden piecing. All in all, this one may take me awhile to get through. But I wanted something to stretch my skills. I've pieced and pieced these 15 years and I'm ready for some new challenges.
