heat and bond lite
I am using heat'n'bond lite for the stitch and sew table topper well when I have to turn the blocks to the right side it releases the bond is this supposed to happen???

i used to do a light fusible but placed the fusible side toward the back, sewed. then slit the fusible, turned and then laid applique onto fabric and fused. when turned the fusible side is where you need it. Is that what you were doing?

I've only used HeatnBond lite for raw edge applique placement. I don't think it's strudy enough to turn a seam like regular interfacing. The advantage to the lite is that it softens up after washing but I think it's designed to release.

sorry, the fusible side went toward the front. slit and flipped to the back. then pressed onto fabric. it's been so long since I've done that.

yes that is what I have done I have looked at a few that were done they look like mine kinda loose I am thinking after they are turned rs out I could do a line down the middle

are you sewing them on also? i did SunBonnet Sues and did a blanket stitch around those.

Is it the Fold 'n Stitch table topper that you are making?

I have had this happen fairly often with the fusibles. One thing I find is timing. After I have fused it, I let the stack sit for a few hours before turning. This has helped, but, if sit to long, same problem (!). I make dozens of fold n stitch wreaths and I want them to hold up for my customers and be able to be gently washed. So, what I have done is after turning and pressing and topstitching, I do an additional decorative stitch diagonally thru the square. This stitching shows from the outer edge down to the center and not only adds a bit of design but firmly holds everything together. I'm not sure why the fusibles aren't sticking. I have been using them in the same manner for years and it has only been the last few months that this has become an issue. Perhaps the vendors are using less or cheaper sticky stuff!
