Heat resistant fabric question
Today at our LQS one of my purchases was for a liner for potholders and things. I don't remember what the clerk called it. I want to make some mug rugs and pot holders but I don't have a clue how. Nor how many layers of this heat resistant wonder in each item. Help, please.

If it is the stuff used for potholders and casserole carriers you only need one layer. The more metic side should be toward the hot part I think, It has been a while since I used it.

I would recommend one layer of thin cotton batting on each side of the Insulbright (that's the name of the metallic insulation). It absorbs moisture which can make things seem hot even when the insulbright is insulating you. I use Warm and Natural to sandwich the insulbright.
