So sorry about your loss, a quilt with the shirts will be special, I just finished a pillow in memory of my Mother and Grandmother, I used their handkerchiefs. good luck and patience(:

I had a quilt done for my aunt after her husband died. She said this was the best thing she could of had. I had it made chair size so she could snuggle up and watch TV. She said sometimes it was like having a hug from him and able to snuggle up also.l

I made my second quilt from this pattern, all from shirts I collected at Good Will for $1.00 each. Bonnie Hunter' site has many examples of scrappy quilts using recycled materials.
